My current research area is the lung microbiome in post-tuberculosis lung disease, with an emphasis on characterising microbial communities and exploring their relationship with structural lung damage and disease progression.
My future career aspirations are to become an independent scientist and bioinformatician focusing on infectious diseases and pathogen genomics. I am particularly interested in respiratory microbiomes, with a strong focus on the often overlooked lung mycobiome and its role in health and disease.
