Fellowships

The Training Programme at CAPRISA aims to strengthen the science base for HIV/AIDs research in South Africa by offering two avenues to students and graduates to participate in the programme. The CAPRISA fellowship programme and the Clinical Research Placement Programme.

This comprehensive training programme has created a critical mass of trainees at CAPRISA which has enabled the establishment of excellent peer-support and an intellectually richer training experience. Since the inception of the programme in 2003, 702 students have participated in the fellowship programme and 792 clinician students in the Research placement programme.
