Bonginkosi Mafuze (MBChB) is a medical doctor, graduate from Nelson R Mandela School of Medicine in KwaZulu Natal and completed his internship at Pietermaritzburg and community service at the Eastern Cape. He also holds a Diploma in Mental Health from the Colleges of Medicine South Africa (CMSA) and is completing a master’s degree in medicine (MMed).

Dr Mafuze is a Psychiatry Registrar at General Justice Gizenga Mpanza Regional Hospital in the Psychiatry and Emergency Department.

The importance of putting my ideas on paper and being an agent for change is what CAPRISA meant to me. The power of research is to see what everyone else has seen but to think what no one else has thought in the process of knowledge generation.”
