Professor Quarraisha Abdool Karim FRS elected to the Fellowship of the Royal Society



Infectious diseases epidemiologist and Associate Scientific Director and co-founder of The Centre for the Aids Programme of Research in Durban, South Africa (CAPRISA) at the University of KwaZulu-Natal- Professor Quarraisha Abdool Karim - has been elected to the Fellowship of the Royal Society, the United Kingdom’s independent scientific academy. Formed in 1660 by English architect Christopher Wren, the Royal Society is a fellowship of the world's most eminent scientists and is the oldest scientific academy in continuous existence.
