The AFRI CONVERSE 2023 Special Edition: Commemorating the Fourth Hideyo Noguchi Africa Prize

The AFRI CONVERSE 2023 #1 special edition, co-organized by Japan's Cabinet Office, Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), and United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), is set to take place in March 2023. This dialogue series is a special commemoration of the Fourth Hideyo Noguchi Africa Prize. The event will bring together laureates, government officials, and development experts to discuss Human Capital Development in Africa.

The primary aim of the dialogue series is to identify gaps and opportunities in investing in human capital development, share good practices and lessons learned, and build health resilience in Africa with external partners. The featured speakers will be the laureates of the Fourth Hideyo Noguchi Africa Prize Award, who were recognized for their contributions to HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment, and for the eradication of Guinea worm disease in Africa. Along with them, government officials and development experts will share their insights and experiences on the topic.
