Prof Carolyn Williamson receives UCT Excellence Award

Congratulations to Professor Carolyn Williamson, who was given an Excellence Award by the University of Cape Town in recognition of her exceptional contribution to research in the field of HIV vaccines and prevention, as well as SARS-CoV-2 genomic surveillance.
She is further recognised for her role in leadership of the University, in particular taking on the role of Interim Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences and guiding the Faculty through a particularly difficult time following the passing of the previous Dean.
