CAPRISA Recognition for Excellence

CAPRISA Scientist, Dr Anushka Naidoo received the CAPRISA recognition award for her exceptional accomplishment. Naidoo delivered on key considerations in the design and implementation of platform studies that evaluate the use of novel Long- Acting ART when used in patients with HIV-associated TB on Rifamycin-based regimens in June 2022 plenary at the AIDS Clinical Trials Group meeting in Washington DC, United States. The presentation of the award to Dr Anushka Naidoo was made by Professor Kogie Naidoo, CAPRISA Deputy Director.  

Smita Maharaj, Communications Manager, recognised for her high level of professionalism when communicating and working with media both International and Locally, was recognised by the Associate Press Editor for her commitment to outstanding professionalism.  She was given a certificate of recognition by the CAPRISA Director, Professor Salim Abdool Karim.  Prof Salim Abdool Karim said, “Smita displayed a high level of professionalism when a thoughtful approach to dealing with media."
