Dr Nonhlanhla Yende-Zuma: Head of Biostatistics, Centre for the AIDS Programme of Research in South Africa
Drs Reddy and Yende-Zuma are the lead statisticians for the Sisonke Phase 3 b trial evaluating the real-world effectiveness of the Ad26-SARS Cov2
vaccine on hospitalisation and death among almost half a million South African health workers. They will provide insights on the appropriate methods
and challenges of using routinely collected data to estimate vaccine effectiveness as the COVID-19 pandemic continues.
