Dr Koleka Mlisana

She is a medical microbiologist who after sometime as a lecturer at the same medical school, spent 8 years in a private pathology laboratory as a microbiology consultant. She is an executive committee member of the Southern African HIV Clinicians. Society; Faculty Member of the Foundation for Professional Development (FPD) of the South African Medical Association (SAMA); Treasurer for the National Antimicrobial Surveillance Forum (NASF); Member of the Editorial Board of the Southern African Journal of HIV Medicine. She has trained healthcare workers nationally on HIV Management. Her current interests in the field of HIV and AIDS are: Acute HIV infection and HIV pathogenesis; HIV and AIDS in female sex workers; healthcare workers and community education.
