| Janet Frohlich, DipMGC, BCur (Ed et Ad), D Cur is the Community Programmes Manager and Operations
Manager for the Centre for the AIDS Programme of Research in South Africa's (CAPRISA) rural research site in Vulindlela.
She coordinated the first South African National STI/HIV/AIDS Review in 1997. She has served as the project leader of the
HASA Nurse Educators Forum that designed and implemented the first South African short course in Palliative Nursing Care; a
member of the UNAIDS International task team to develop Best Practices for Community Mobilization; Director of the Hospice
Association of Southern Africa; a member of the Independent Study Group into an Enabling environment for NGO'S; a member of
the Executive Committee of the National AIDS Convention for southern Africa; consultant to the National Department of Health
and Gauteng Provincial Health department for the Development of AIDS Palliative Care Guidelines.

She was the Project Leader
of the SAMRC Hlabisa HIV Vaccine Preparedness Study and Site Manager of the SAMRC rural research site in Hlabisa. She was
awarded a post-doctoral fellowship from the Southern Africa Fogarty Aids Training Programme in 2002. She is currently the
International co-chair of the Community Working Group for the NIH HIV Prevention Trials Network.
